What services does Vital Futures offer organizations?
What is strategic foresight, and why does it matter for my organization?
Strategic foresight is a structured practice for exploring plausible futures, testing assumptions, spotting emerging opportunities, and recognizing risks before they become crises. Research by Rohrbeck and Kum demonstrated that foresight-literate companies achieved a 33% higher profitability than their competitors. This is skill-based: unlike trend reports, foresight engages your team in actively understanding how the world could change and what that means for your strategy. It’s an important, but uncommon, input to strategic planning. Without it, you’re gambling on the future playing out exactly as you hope it does.
Strategic foresight offers ways to combine real-world concerns with personal ambitions, hopes, and values. Based on client requests, we now offer services for individuals:
Strategic Career Support: A three-appointment arc using strategic tools to help mid- to late-career professionals move from current state to a fulfilling career plan. Priced at $220/appointment.
Possibility Party: Living the Possible: An open version of our organizational Possibility Party that helps you chart a personal strategy to make more of an impact in a way that’s meaningful to you. Pricing varies by venue.

What is change management, and what results can it produce?
Change management is the practice of planning and supporting the human side of organizational change, like increasing team adoption of new initiatives and ensuring transformation projects achieve their intended goals. Research by Prosci indicates that a structured change management approach can increase project goal realization by up to 7X. Liz Koblyk is a certified Prosci change management practitioner. If you’re considering or are already implementing AI, you have a change management project on your hands.
Yes. Vital Futures offers an interactive workshop called "Questions to Ask Before Implementing AI," designed to help organizations approach AI strategically rather than reactively. The session helps leaders identify genuine opportunities, avoid unnecessary risk, and avoid being among the 95% of companies that see no appreciable return on AI projects (per 2025 Project NANDA study). The workshop is available virtually or in person, priced from $500–$1,200 depending on length and format. We can also incorporate this offering into leadership, board, and team PD days.
Does Vital Futures offer AI strategy services?
Yes. The Possibility Party service is designed specifically for engaging teams, boards, partners, or stakeholders in collaborative, future-oriented thinking. It uses facilitation techniques that draw on participants' collective intelligence to bridge long-term vision with immediate action. This format is particularly helpful if your board is having difficulty connecting values to strategy.

What makes Vital Futures different from other strategy consultancies?
Three things set Vital Futures apart. First, the process starts by clarifying goals and understanding external change, so strategy is built for the future, not the past. Second, foresight and planning tools are used to engage a range of voices, producing plans that are more resilient and more likely to earn team buy-in. Third, the collaborative network model means clients get specialized expertise (governance, research, brand, operations) without the overhead of a large firm.
Does Vital Futures work with small organizations or those with limited budgets?
Yes. The tiered service model – from the $289 Innovation Catalyst to longer strategic planning engagements – is designed to make foresight and planning accessible at different scales. The collaborative network model also keeps pricing streamlined relative to larger consulting firms.
How do I get started with Vital Futures?
